⭐️Formulated with Moroccan Argan, Black Seed Oils, Pumpkin, Amla, Hemp Seed, and other natural oils.

We wanted to create a hair oil that is lighter on the hair than our soothe oil and is also made for those with thinner hair and for those who have a more sensitive scalp. Many cultures have been using hair oiling for centuries to help with scalp circulation, hair thickness, growth, softer hair, shiny hair, and over all scalp and hair health. Our Essence oil is a blend of penetrating and sealing oils that can be used for all hair types to promote over all hair health.

This is our version of our Soothe oil without the essential oils. It contains oils like Pumpkin Seed, Black Seeds, & Amla that has been used to help with shine, scalp stimulation, growth and thickness. Pumpkin Seed Oil has been shown to contain natural DHT blocking benefits to aid in hair growth and length retention and to reduce hair loss and increase hair count. Same size and benefits as our Soothe oil, just created for those with thinner density and a more sensitive scalp. Goes great when paired with our hair creams and sprays. A little goes a long way.

This is perfect for:

  • Adding a healthy shine and softening dry hair
  • Retaining Length and thickening hair density
  • Preventing damaged ends
  • As a hot oil treatment before shampooing
  • Soothing dry scalp

I tried both oils on each side of my edges where I’m losing hair. I really have no complaints for both. My hair is more on the coily side so I prefer the original because I like the thicker consistency on my hair. But I have seen a good difference on each side since trying them both. I do like this one a lot but the original is my favorite. 😍 Someone with a looser curl type than mine may prefer this one more.

Ingredients:
*Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, *Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, *Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Argania Spinosa (Moroccan Argan) Kernel Oil *Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Ethylhexyl Olivate, *Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) Seed Oil, Phyllanthus emblica (Amla- Indian Gooseberry) Seed Oil, * Ribes Nigrum (Black Currant) Seed Oil, * Nigella Sativa (Black Cumin) Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) Seed Oil, Isoamyl Laurate(100% Natural, Plant derived emollient), (All soaked in Chebé )

Use:

Adding oiling to your routine can depend on your hair type. Everyone’s hair type is different so your oiling method can be different as well as. Doing the best method that works for your hair type will help with adding oiling to your hair growth routine. A little goes a long way, you do not need to drench your hair in the oil.
For the NycheHair Leave-In method- On damp, wet hair apply one of our Leave Ins onto the hair shaft being sure to hydrate and moisturize first, then lightly apply a light amount of the oil and massage into the scalp for at least 5-8 minutes and smooth over the hair shaft to the ends. Leave in until your wash day remembering to massage the scalp again and repeat after washing your hair with shampoo and conditioner. May need to shampoo 2x to thoroughly clean. (Not intentended to be left in for long periods at a time. If you have greasier, thinner hair or prefer to not oil as often, it may be better for you to do an oil treatment method 1-3x a week or to a few times a month instead of a leave-in method.)

For oil treatment method: Oiling can depend on your hair type. Oiling your hair every day like some do may not work for you and an oil treatment may be a better option.  First Brush your hair and massage your scalp. Apply onto the hair and scalp and be sure to massage it into the scalp for a few minutes. Use onto the ends of the hair and work up the shaft to the scalp. We recommend using as an oil treatment 1-3x a week depending on what you prefer. Brush your hair before, applying oil on the ends of hair and to the scalp not after, massage into the scalp for at least 5-8 minutes (can loosely braid hair if you like to keep it maintained easier) leave in a few hours, and then wash out with shampoo (may need to shampoo 2x) and conditioner. Follow up with a leave in conditioner spray or cream. Style as usual. Redo the cycle whenever needed. Be sure to massage into the scalp when applying.

Whats the difference between Soothe & Essence?

Soothe has essential oils and is a little bit thicker due to the higher percentage of Castor Oil that is a naturally thicker oil.
Essence has no essential oils and an addition of Pumpkin Seed and is a little bit lighter in consistency

Both contain a lot of the other same oils that have been used to help with growth, thickness, shiny hair, and healthy scalp for centuries.

The scent profile of the Soothe Oil is more “herbal” due to some of the oils having a more herbal fragrance. The scent profile of the Essence Oil is more “neutral”.

Can I combine both or alternate both oils?

These oils do have similar oils within them, but there are still some ingredient differences. You can definitely combine both oils into a larger container to use or alternate the use of both of them if you prefer to.

Hair Oiling Shedding?

We created two oils for your hair oiling and hair growth routines. Our Soothe oil is a thicker oil with essential oils while our Essence oil is a lighter oil with Pumpkin Seed. Both of our oils contain ingredients that have been used for centuries to increase hair growth, length retention, hair shine, prevent scalp dryness, and to strengthen damaged hair.

When it comes to hair shedding, it is important to understand that shedding hair is normal and on average a person will shed between 50-100 hairs a day and some even more! (American Academy of Dermatology). When introducing hair oiling as a first time oiler, the shedding can be alarming, however, it is completely normal!

Massaging and oiling your hair will make the weaker, damaged hair shed out faster to increase the strength of your hair and bring in stronger hair follicles. Shedding from hair oiling is temporary so do not be alarmed. It is normal for someone who is new to oiling their hair to experience shedding at the beginning. Here is a video from a creator we feel has done a great job at breaking down her hair oiling routine over the last three years. (This is not a sponsored video, we just really love how she explains her method and why she loves hair oiling :), there are many more creators like her as well that show their love of hair oiling too.)
